And so the journey begins!

On August 7, 2018 we delivered our first set of 50 books to New Haven Reads in New Haven, CT.  Founded to “share the joy and power of reading,” New Haven Reads increases the literacy skills of children to empower their academic success by providing individually tailored one-on-one after-school tutoring, educational family support, and a community book bank, all at no cost to participants.

This place is so cool! Not only do they offer tutoring, but they also allow anyone to come in (children or adults) and take books home absolutely FREE of charge! (There is a limit of 4-5 per person on board books and picture books, but no limit on any other type of books.)

A huge thank you to Victoria, the Book Bank Director, for allowing us to visit today and take a look around! We hope the books collected will serve the children of New Haven for many years to come.
